Description: Explore the colorful wildflowers, soaring peaks, and thundering twin waterfalls of beautiful Yankee Boy Basin. Join curator Julia McHugh on this scenic Jeep adventure. We will travel to historic Ouray, CO, enjoy free time in the shops and eateries before traveling into the mountains with San Juan Scenic Jeep Tours to explore alpine meadows, the towering vistas of Mt. Sneffels and Mt. Potosi, and the Camp Bird and Ruby Trust mines. Bring your camera for this picture-perfect day in the “Switzerland of America”.

9:00 am – Depart Cross Orchards Historic Site in Grand Junction, CO
10:15 am – Bathroom Stop in Montrose, CO
11:30 am – Arrive in Ouray, CO – Time for shopping and lunch on your own
1:15 pm – Meet at San Juan Scenic Tours for Jeep departure to Yankee Boy Basin
5:15 pm – Depart Ouray, CO for Grand Junction, CO
7:15 pm – Return to Cross Orchards Historic Site in Grand Junction, CO
