Colorado Canyon Geology Full Day Rafting Adventure (July 23rd)

Meet at: Dinosaur Journey Museum, Fruita at 7:45AM
Minimum Age: 6 (guests ages 16 or under must be accompanied by a paying adult)
Description: Join our expert paleontologists as we raft the black water (= calm water) of the Colorado River to experience canyon geology up close. You will discover the wonder of the geologic history of western Colorado from inside the magnificent Ruby & Horsethief Canyons. Bring your shoes that will not fall off, a water bottle, wide-brimmed hat, sunscreen and bug spray. Swim or quick dry attire is encouraged. Lunch is included.
Difficulty: No hiking is required on this expedition, but participants should expect to be outside for a full day, in the heat and bugs on the water.
Itinerary:
7:45 AM – Depart Dinosaur Journey in Fruita, CO for Rimrock Adventures
8:00 AM – Depart Rimrock Adventures for rafting.
Noon – Lunch on the River
1:00 PM – Continue Raft adventure
4:30 PM – Leave the river from Westwater, UT
5:30 PM – Return to Dinosaur Journey in Fruita, CO
