Whitman Educational Center
This 1925 vintage building, now headquarters for the Museum of Western Colorado's education department, was built as the Whitman School. It housed the Museum when it opened in 1966, and the Regional History Museum until 1999.

Dino Digs
The Museum of Western Colorado offers half-day, one-day, and three-day digs in western Colorado, as well as a five-day digs in Utah. These quarries contain dinosaurs such as Apatosaurus (Brontosaurus), Camarasaurus and Allosaurus.

Digging Schedule
