Dinosaur JourneyOur museum features the latest exhibits and information
about dinosaurs of western Colorado, eastern Utah and
surrounding areas, realistic robotic dinosaurs and a working
paleontology laboratory.
National Fossil DayNational Fossil Day is a celebration organized to promote public awareness and stewardship of fossils, as well as to foster a greater appreciation of their scientific and educational value.
Cross OrchardsStep back in time and imagine what it was like to live as a
Grand Valley pioneer in the early 1900s. Our facilities can
also be rented for weddings, family reunions, corporate
meetings and parties and other events.

Loyd Files Research LibraryWe offer life-long learners of all ages access to primary
sources of information about the region's cultural and natural
history. The Loyd Files Research Library collects
photographs, one-of-a-kind manuscripts, maps, city
directories, high school annuals, and rare books.
Oral History ProgramOur Oral History Program features a different speaker each
month. Bring your lunch and join us!
Whitman Educational CenterThis 1925 vintage building, now headquarters for the
Museum of Western Colorado's education department, was
built as the Whitman School. It housed the Museum when it
opened in 1966, and the Regional History Museum until 1999.
Cultural Heritage Touring ExhibitHarvest of Heritage, Colorado Masterpieces: Celebrating Agricultural Life and Art is a touring exhibit honoring over two dozen of Colorado's master traditional artists.
