Riggs Hill Lecture - September 18

Kelli C. Trujillo will be our speaker for the talk on Friday, September 18.  Kelli will present:

Dinosaurs in the Pipeline - A Report on the Laramie Plains Dinosaur Quarry (Morrison Formation)

“The current boom in oil and gas across the West is creating unique opportunities for paleontologists. As a result of state and federal regulations and scientifically responsible energy companies, paleontologists are finding and collecting fossils from areas that were previously inaccessible. Recent examples of this are the fossils found on both Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and private land along Segment 2 of Kinder Morgan’s Rockies Express-Entrega (REX) natural gas pipeline across southern Wyoming…” Read more here.
