Collections Inventory
One of the big projects for the Museum of Western Colorado this year is to inventory and photograph its entire collection of artifacts. We are systematically going through our collections and checking on the condition of all of our artifacts, making sure all the proper paperwork is in place, researching the pieces, photographing them and entering them into our collections computer software.
With the help of volunteer Beverly Kolkman we have photographed, measured and re-rolled our entire Navajo rug collection. The hope is to have all of these photos available online and to expand our current exhibit of textiles.
This ambitious project could not be done without help from our volunteers. If you are interested in helping with the inventory of our collections please contact Zebulon Miracle.
