Canyonlands by Night Trip Re-cap

Our recent Canyonlands by Night trip to Moab, Utah was traveled via the Old Cisco Road (Hwy 128). We took three museum vans and 24 fun-loving travelers on the very scenic route through some of the most photographed landscape in the U.S. Our group learned a bit about the historic Dewey Bridge, spotted some petroglyphs, shared stories of their own travels in the area and found out about the many movies and television commercials that have been shot in the beautiful canyonland country that we were traveling.

After some browsing in the gift shop at the Canyonlands by Night plaza, we dined on a genuine Dutch Oven dinner, complete with the tin plates. The food was great and plentiful and was just satisfying enough to hold us over while we cruised up the Colorado River at sunset. As the night sky took over, we listened to stories of the canyons and the history of the area and wondered at the moon and stars as the cool river breeze brushed over our faces. It was truly a night to remember!
